Hey There.

Nice to meet you.

Bryce and April MacEwen Counselling

Before you get to your session and we ask you to share your story, we figured we’d better share ours too. We’re going to pretend we’re sitting across the table from you at a local cafe, coffee in hand, just chatting (because these about pages can get pretty boring, and we’re not into that).

Safe Comfortable Coffee Therapy

If we went for coffee, here’s what we’d tell you:

Holding Hands and Working Together

Life isn’t easy (we know, big shocker). So many of us are wading through burnout, propping our phones up against our piles of self-help books to scroll Instagram hoping for inspiration and coming up with heaps of comparison and credit card debt we’re trying not to look at.

We think it’s time for something different.

Evidence Based Counselling Therapy

That’s where SoulSoothe comes in:

a judgement-free space for you to relax into healing.

SoulSoothe was founded in 2023 to provide  you with the experience you are looking for. You get to decide how your time with us is spent. You set the goals and the pace. If you want to simply talk, we can do that. If you want to sit in silence, we can also do that. And if you are wanting to incorporate Christian spirituality into your session, our counsellors are willing to pray with you as well.

We approach every person with an open heart and open mind. Whatever your ethnic, cultural, or spiritual background, we would be glad to support you on your healing journey.

Meet The Team

Bryce MacEwen EFT Therapist

Bryce MacEwen

BSW, RSW

Social Worker, counsellor, teacher, student, musician, and husband from Saskatoon, SK. Regardless of what role I’m in or whatever label is attached to me, I’m pretty much that same person everywhere. I’m a curious guy who values relationship and integrity. This is why I became a social worker, and why I’m now counselling others. I care deeply about the pain that others have experienced, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside whoever decides to cross paths with me.

Outside of my office, you can find me outside enjoying River Landing with my wife and friends. Or perhaps, sitting on my deck relaxing with a cup of coffee (or decaf tea after 3pm).

Denise Carey Social Worker Christian Counsellor

Denise Carey

BSW, RSW

For over 30 years, I have helped youth and adults experience healing and freedom in individual and group settings. In that time, I have gained training and skill in a variety of approaches to support people struggling personally and in their relationships with addiction, trauma, interpersonal violence, and other challenges. I am a caring and empathetic person, and you can expect a session with me to be safe and gentle. We move together at a pace that feels right and in a direction that matters to you.

In my sessions, I use a variety of counselling approaches, including CBT and Narrative Therapy. Most recently, I have completed training in Sozo: an inner healing and spiritual deliverance approach grounded in evidence-based and trauma-informed practices. I bring this approach into my sessions, as the client feels comfortable, allowing them to get to the root of the issue and experiencing lasting healing.
