Should I Try Sozo?
Sozo? Never heard of it…
We’re often skeptical of things that seem both new and unknown—but Sozo is neither of those things. It has helped many people over many years, and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to you!
Who is Sozo for?
Well… the short answer is everyone! Young or old, male or female, Sozo is for you.
Everyone was created to live in relationship with God, with nothing separating or hindering that connection. We all desire to know we’re loved, protected, provided for, and nurtured, which enables us to discover our identity and purpose in life. We need to be connected to the Creator who made us, the Man who died for us, and the Holy Spirit who empowers us and leads us to fully know who we are. Everyone of us has a need for love, connection, protection, and identity, regardless of our age, background, ethnicity, or gender.
Unmet needs, believed lies, and traumas happen to everyone—and these things can separate us from God, other people, and ourselves. Sozo deals with these things and reconnects people to the Godhead to receive truth and freedom. This truth restores people’s relationship with God and, ultimately, our other human relationships.
When should I reach out for a Sozo session?
Just like counselling, this is unique to each person. If you currently feel “stuck,” that might be a good reason to consider a Sozo. Other people schedule a Sozo every year or two, as a means of a spiritual checkup. Just as you go to your doctor for an annual checkup, a Sozo checks on your spiritual and emotional health.
These are some indicators that you need a Sozo:
You feel disconnected from God; You see Him as distant.
You have unresolved past traumas that make it difficult for you to move forward.
You are trapped in cycles of intense emotions, such as anxiety or depression.
You have tried a number of strategies, and nothing seems to work for long.
You know that there are areas in your life that you don’t have freedom.
Following a Sozo session, some people choose to do a follow-up session, or switch to counselling. A person may benefit from gaining practical communication skills, understanding boundaries, assistance with regulating emotions, etc. after substantial healing has taken place. This is where counselling fits in and can be very helpful, giving you those practical skills to stay healed and have thriving relationships.
